The name for this piece comes from the song "The Lord is My Shepherd". A beautiful Hymn whose lyrics have spoken to me time and time again. Especially the following:
He leadeth my soul where the still waters flow,
Restores me when wand’ring, redeems when oppressed,
Thru the valley and shadow of death though I stray,
Since thou art my Guardian, no evil I fear.
Thy rod shall defend me, thy staff be my stay.
No harm can befall with my Comforter near.
These lines have brought comfort to me in troubled times. I'm grateful for a Shepherd who always calls out to my wandering soul and brings me back to His fold.
