I was studying “Jesus the Christ” by Talmage and was struck about how little we know of the three days between the crucifixion and the resurrection when Christ visited the spirit world and ministered to them. How much joy must have been waiting for him there! This was a direct release from bondage and a show of love for these spirits who were ready to accept his message! This painting shows Jesus still in his burial robes with the cross scars on his palms rising up to help these people who had waited so long for Him.
